Hints of something else in the air

I will have to postpone today’s article given the rising scope of it, but there is a particular piece of intriguing news I want to comment on. But also another matter. Effective today I stopped using Twitter and within time I will delete it, here are the questions for my readers to decide.

There is a massive overlap between Twitter followers and Substack subscribers, so I never saw the need to share information that isn’t critical here, sticking to a broader analysis approach.

More e-mails per month can lead to cluttering, too many e-mails, which can be bothersome, especially for readers who are subscribed to many other writers.
I have an absolutist “information is free and open, pay if you want/see value” approach to content, so in case the second option is the preferred one, nothing changes, and there won’t be a paywall, the distinction would be subject matter covered in each substack.

As I write sometimes, I do looooooove to indulge in some conspiracie from time to time. And there is no better conspiracy right now than this one. Well, besides the absurd amount of “accidents, fires, and explosions” going on.

Earlier this week a mass shooting occurred, depressingly enough common in North America (I am vehemently pro 2nd Amendment FYI), such an incident wouldn’t get a post unless circumstances were exceptional. First the location. UNC, the University of North Carolina. Second, the shooter’s identity.

Tailei Qi, a Chinese national. Third, where he used to study.

A former Wuhan University attendee, now going to the UNC fatally shoots his advisor. In case you are not aware, and I would be rather surprised if you are not, the UNC at Chapel Hill is where Baric’s lab resides, and where Ralph Baric finds himself. The UNC and Ralph Baric are the most likely places for SARS-CoV-2 or 1.5 came from.

While this incident is mostly a personal problem between Qi and his advisor, in the Intelligence world, using “assets” to send messages isn’t a plot point used in fiction. Blackmailing, exploiting, bribing, or other sordid tactics can be used to both “deal” with someone or send a message. To this day, the following event is the most puzzling event that I can’t solve, and no part of the puzzle fits properly, and it reminded me of this event.

Bing Liu: Chinese-born professor dies in US murder-suicide

The fatal shooting of a Chinese-born coronavirus researcher on US soil has fuelled conspiracy theories around the world.

Bing Liu, a 37-year-old assistant professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, was found dead in his house on Saturday.

Colleagues said he was close to making "significant findings" on his studies of Covid-19, sparking online speculation it was an assassination.

But police say it was a murder-suicide.

Liu’s death has puzzled me and a few close friends since the tragic event took place, and even after spending hours upon hours going through his work and his colleagues, we still couldn’t understand. But I guess that is the point, isn’t it ? Not being able to piece together the reason for the event, regardless of the time invested in investigating it.

Lest we forget Zhou Yusen. One of PLA’s leading researchers, who filed for a Covid-19 vaccine patent in February 2020 and “fell to his death off the roof of the Institute”. The Institute in question being the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
