A bit tangential to the topic, but there ARE near-term higher probability cosmic events that we should be wary of, such as the NEAREST-Earth-SuperNova, that of our own Sun having not just a Coronal Mass Ejection (Which we should be taking more seriously) but an actual "micro-nova" type event.
Without trying to argue for plasma cosmology any further than that, we can also worry about the already noticeable chain reaction of GALACTIC (rather than simply heliospheric) current sheet waves, like a massive Enlil Spiral, which could cause something like the former nova event or who knows. Coupled with, or possibly even the cause of, Earth's exponentially weakening geomagnetic field, we should be extremely involved in preparing for such an event.
Sometimes I speculate that "They" know exactly that some such scenario is coming soon... But who can tell the masses that we're going to be blasted back into the stone-age by insane cosmic forces and the best hope is just to ride it out in a super-bunker? Because that would be even more chaotic?
