There are things I can't disclose, although my personal life is pretty open, especially on Twitter. But life threw a curve ball recently. I will try to publish something tomorrow.
While something great occurend, bitterness came in the horizon too.
I wish everyone... peace ? Because we will live through a decade this week lol.
It seems that some are aware of this (and don't care) but many actually seem to refuse to see the reality (hence the iterations of "we did it for WW2 and we will do it again!"). I'm unsure if they truly are all believers that the US will reign forever or what at this point.
WW2 didn't have nuclear warfare beyond the two nuclear weapons dropped gratuitously on Japan after they'd begun trying to surrender. WW3 would be nothing like WW2. Russia has a thousand more strategic warheads than America does and the hypersonic ICBMs to deliver them before our plodding Air Force could get ours out of their silos. Russia is the only nuclear power that didn't shut down their civil defense, and a substantial minority of their population would survive a nuclear attack, given 30 minutes notice. Americans need to stop working from bluster and develop a bit of reality recognition while we can.

I date the start of the war to the destruction at the World Trade Center in 2001. (Ask acquaintances how many buildings were destroyed; for bonus points what files were lost in 7 WTC.)
However little it cost to "stage" the attack, the destruction of wealth (time lost being accosted by TSA agents), the acceptance of "personal searches", the extra "fees", and the nontrivial cost of the agency itself must have multiplied the cost of flying lessons, boxcutters, tickets, and a safe house many orders of magnitude (my guess is 10^7.)
I'll never forget the Iraq and Afghanistan wars USA started on lies. Obvious even from reading just the NYT at the time... Maybe worst of all, the Patriot Act of 2006. Even back then I was astounded and very alarmed when America accepted this totalitarian change to our lives. When Edward Snowden spoke up, I shrugged - ummm, we knew we were being spied on by our own country, and that it was for all intents and purposes, legal.
I date the start of the war to at least as far back as 1991, when "babies ripped from their incubators" in Kuwait was used as a justification for the first Gulf War.
I date 2001 as the start of Clown World starting to turn on it´s people. Clown World was busy destroying the rest of the world until 2001, and now it openly also targets the West. Maybe we got too powerful or something.
The USAF has been working towards an "Agile Combat Employment" doctrine over the last few years, which emphasizes dispersed forces, decentralized control, and "push" logistics over efficiency. I assume this is mostly coming from lessons learned on the Ukraine front (nowhere is safe). Still, the DoD has too many of these think tanks and they churn out these doctrine recommandations ad nauseam, usually with little effect.
This article by Tree of Woe provides a good example of how the West's gaming of econominc numbers have caused it to overestimate its war fighting capability:

The DoD cannot provide for the national defense with more than half of its resources on the other side of the world.
Which means we need a entirely new approach to war. America is very capable, but needs to change SOON.
At the rate that NATO is screwing with Russia, America's change will more likely arrive with the blinding flashes of thermonuclear detonations.
😭😭😭 was my literal reaction to your comment lol
You are loudly crying triply?
Metaphorically. I am actually a lot happier lately, drama sometimes is just fun (in the comment section no drama in the articles 😆)
One has to wonder about the value in being more metaphorically happy.

Sir James Goldsmith was right. All IP was outsourced to labor at the margin, concomitant with the creation of a educational, skills vacuum.
None of this is by happenstance viz a planned attack that has been ongoing for decades Mr Mulder.

You know, this blog is made up of generally nice people. You, however, seem to be a troll. Have a nice day.
So how did Trump's heal in two weeks - and without a scar?
asking for a curious friend
Just saw news of plane crashing in a neighborhood in Brazil. Hope you and yours are ok.

Fascinating!
