I don't have H.P. but had severe excruciating gut issues so I know how bad it can be and can get. Hopefully it helps a few people 🙏🏻

Gut issues are horrible because they affect your brain and your mood sometimes severely. Thank God I am in a much better place now but it gives me perspective

Good and important topic, and good links! There was an old study which compared Prilosec with natural protocol treating severe gastritis caused by H.Pylori, and of course cant find it now, Just remember it was using Zinc-Carnosine, melatonin, tryptophan and some vitamins, B12 in particular, and few more. The natural remedy was superior to that proton-inhibitor, which in long run, causes gastric cancer. The ZInc-Carnosine is even better when combined with Glutamine,,, Here some references:

https://www.naturalmedicinejournal.com/journal/melatonin-treats-h-pylori-and-gastric-ulcers

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/22204799/

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC7146259/

Zinc-Carnosine was developed by some Japanese who are known to have the H.Pylori burden most, probably due to sushi...

Apparently mastic gum, modified citrus pectin and d-limonelle are also good.

Excellent! Yes, in the US it is hard to find honest honey. Some yrs ago my husband, who sells analytical chemistry instruments, visited a client and found that their imported honey came in 55 gal drums. Because it's sold by weight, the Chinese were putting lead in the bottom. The high lead content did not deter this small company, and it was being labeled as local honey. Lead and all.

After restrictions were put on Chinese honey, they just sent it to Brazil ;) where it was relabeled as Brazilian and imported from there to US. And somewhere along the line it would be cut with corn syrup. That has supposedly been stopped and only verified Brazilian honey gets here.

Moral of the story is to find a local guy you know and trust.

Moriarty, thank you for this.

About a year ago, I heard that Myrrh will act against biofilms. I bought a bottle and began using it, 1/2 mL in the morning and another 1/2 mL at night.

Several days later, I had the strangest dream, where I was conscious and observing something that looked like a taco folded around a bunch of little balls, like salmon eggs but darker colored. It looked like something bad. My impression in my mind was that I was looking at bugs in a biofilm.

I asked, "What is this?" and immediately the word "Blastocystis" echoed in my mind (my body was still asleep).

Over the next few weeks, a painful spot in my intestines gradually moved around until finally it was expelled. Since then, my intestines have worked much better.

I credit the Myrrh (HawaiiPharm in glycerin) with helping detach that biofilm and enable it to move around and out without reattaching.

Strange story, I know, but the results were, well, miraculous, what can I say? :-)

Strange but particularly interesting, thank you for sharing.

I wonder what the mechanism for the dream is (yes, I think it is linked with the Myrrh and removing the biofilms, which will inevitably release some "stuff") =P.

After decades of many health problems, in the past 1.5 years and continuing into the near future, I am experiencing final healings, some miraculous. This was clearly from those who guide me from the Other Side, my guides.

Example: In 2014 I had the urge to buy a big bunch of Vitamin C. Three weeks after receiving it, I got a major splinter wound in my left foot and got tetanus. I had to learn how to cure it on my own (which I did, but that's another story), and the Vitamin C turned out to be a critical factor. What prompted me to order the Vitamin C three weeks before I got tetanus? Same crew that prompted me to buy and take some Myrrh, don't you think? And I learned how to treat tetanus easily and now know that tetanus vaccinations are totally unneeded. All risk, no benefit.

Sometimes a person needs to choose to initiate or try something, and that gives those who help us the opportunity to step in and help. And those who help will often be part of that initiating choice.

The dream was meant to tell me what was happening in a situation where that would not have been obvious to me otherwise. They *wanted* me to know what was happening so I would understand its importance. I've had other instances where I could figure out myself what was happening, so a dream or other alert was not needed nor given. The tetanus incident was like that - no overt alerts, just the provision of the Vitamin C three weeks before I had any idea that I would need it.

We all have many helpers. For the most part they remain behind the scenes, but sometimes they can and do step in in an obvious way. I find that very reassuring. I hope you do as well. :-)

You are a godsend, thank you SO much for this info! My son was diagnosed with celiac at 18, was depressed and they gave him SSRIs (I weaned him off of those ASAP but damage to the gut was undeniable) and then he got diagnosed with h.pylori. Inflammation and air are never ending, even with the presumed clearance of the h.pylori (I’m convinced it’s still there). I bought so many things right now (if you could see how quickly I was typing broccoli sprouts on my phone lol). We actually bought akkermansia but I was worried to use it, it will definitely be coming out now. We tried another detailed supplement approach, but so far it didn’t lead to improvement. Thank you thank you!!

One thing that pylori may affect is the stomach acidity. I was helped by taking just one betaine hydrochloride after extensive pylori eradication. For me, the indicator for having pylori was a noisy stomach after morning coffee. Now all silent even after coffee.

Professor - hope this finds you well. Excellent missive and not unrelated... Of late in Europe, there's been an outbreak of Clostridium difficile infections (CDIs), in particular Toxin 2. Mainly the jabbed, but not exclusive to that club. The medico's are keeping it "under wraps".

Skipping through the comments, I didn't see anyone mentioning ACV - apple cider vinegar. I've been taking that on a regular basis for the past 7 years or so and no longer have issues with my stomach. That was mostly to battle reflux and burning sensation in the lower esophagus. Not quite sure how or if this is related to HP.

Thank you, complete research as usual and very helpful, this should help most people controlling it.

By the way too much credit for my little post… ;-)

I read the Steve’s Myrrhe comment, did you know that L.reuteri seems to feed on glycerin (and the extract used was on glycerin basis).

Synergy as usual?

I tend to try feeding existing bugs rather than using probiotics, sometimes unavoidable though. Just feel the quality is not necessarily a given (e.g. Akkermansis I checked once and could see only “dead” bugs sold as “probiotics”. And I also think these bugs should sit exactly at the site they are supposed to sit, I still suspect that’s difficult to achieve when swallowing them.

If I was still working this would be useful but challenging.

I attended a meeting with my former colleagues this evening and one presenter made a comment that treatment was easily accessible because "Up To Date" was available as an icon on the EMR desktop. Even in my past life I did not fully accept the UTD dictate in areas in which I had observed outcomes not matching the advice.

If I sent this article to a dozen working GP's I would be surprised if one of them considered the advice. (I think they all still advise Covid boosters! or they wouldn't be working.)

So, do you recommend a particular source for advice on treatment with supplements? An herbal equivalent to Goodman and Gilman?

Also, regimens should be stated. I appreciated your previous note that Nattokinase absorption was best on an empty stomach. Time-pressed professionals just cannot access this material at the point-of -service unless it is presented in a time-effective and adequately authoritative fashion.

It is very complicated, but many doctors will simply take med school advice and mentorship/training throughout their entire lives, and this dictates "follow the advice of the respective agencies", thus following whatever CDC/FDA says.

Their workload makes many unable to pour hours upon hours into recent research so in a way, the same belief is perpetuated throughout the entire class.

I would be surprised if even 1 in a dozen of GPs considered this too.

I do not have a unique source of advice or treatment with supplements, I just... pour a lot of hours into reading research. AI commits to many mistakes and since it is trained to be a helpful servant, it will gaslight you into thinking the AI is right (I always lose it in laughter when the source of the AI is "I talked to researcher X at a convention lmao").

I don't feel comfortable generalizing the suggestions in certain cases, with my Covid stack, I have tested it extensively enough to be, with H. Pylori, individual variance is so large that it is better whatever suggestion the person chooses, it starts little.

I know well a inflamed stomach can be very fickle. I will however keep that in mind for future reference =)
