Thanks for writing and summarizing, despite of injury^1 and personal troubles. Also sorry for your aunt.
That 'persistent immune dysregulation' sounds like HIV feature... AND with that one 'irritating' segment in the Spike code 'YEQYIKWPWYIWLGF', simulating the HIV-1 gp120, I'd almost speculate, that's why TRYPTOPHAN supplementation in HIV helps.. ANd maybe even in that Spikeopathy^2, in which the human bodies are stealing own tryptophan to produce that monstrosity,,
There are multiple causes for the persistent immune dysregulation from Covid, but yes, you are correct, and it is not just that amino acid sequence, the Spike Protein has 4 GP120 fragments, and they are ALL biologically active and in fact, they have more than one function.
It is why I focused on the Kynurenine Pathway for so long.
The fragments do participate in a lot of the damage, even the ones described here, but it is often outside the scope of research to test these (very time-consuming, very expensive, and controversial).
First of all, sorry about your Aunt. I know what it's like to watch someone you love endure pain and suffering towards the end. Secondly, sorry about your injury. Try applying DMSO to your wrist. Any injuries I experience heals within a few days when I apply DMSO topically. It really is amazing stuff, wish I knew about it years ago when my injuries took months to heal.
I will keep that suggestion in mind, albeit it is improving fast, thankfully, just gotta endure some of the pain because I do not want to rely or abuse anti-inflammatories.
Moriarty, I echo, ME's profession of gratitude for all you have done. Sorry to hear so many tough experiences have hit you lately. It's good to take some time for you and your family.
I have two boys, 11 & 9, who are 8 weeks post covid and apparently have long covid. The fatigue for both is absolutely debilitating, and gut issues are prevalent. Plus the lingering joint and muscle pains, headaches, insomnia at night, sleepiness during the day. I never expected to see this in my own healthy kids. I don’t see them getting better lately, and in some aspects, like the gut, they are worsening.
I’m currently going back through your writings as I haven’t found anyone with as much pertinent insight on the mechanisms of dysfunction covid causes, as well as targeted therapies to minimize damage and aid recovery. We’re doing a 10 day course of activated charcoal, among other ideas from your stack. So thank you for your work.
The moment I was started replying to your message I experienced SEVERE internet issues all around, so I am sorry for the very late reply.
It saddens me, and also sadly doesn't surprise me, that your children developed Long Covid after an infection, it is increasing at alarming rates in children in the past 2 years (especially the past 6 months for some reason).
You should address the gut issues first, because many of the symptoms can stem from that. L. Reuteri, Lactobacillus, and Akkermansia Muciniphila can help in that regard, especially dealing with the symptoms and bringing equilibrium back, the first two have formulas specifically designed for children.
Tryptophan-enriched whey protein from milk can help with insomnia and bring all else to balance too. Heal Thyself is an article centered on that, you would just need to adjust dosage in a sense.
Thank you for your compliments. I hope whatever you chose, works really well, activated charcoal will 100% help I am absolutely sure on this one.
Thank you. It is already improved considerably, mobility and all, I just got endurance and work through the pain and not push too hard (otherwise I get numbness for a while).
BPC-157 and TB500 yes =). Red Light Therapy would also help.
A potential thought for the future: a deeper dive into peptides might be a helpful subject. For me, it's mostly about persistent tendon injuries, suspected lung issues causing years of excess mucous, and perhaps partial recovery of brain injury if that's possible. I have a doctor's office (specializes in conditions that 'normal' offices ignore) that I haven't been using much due to distance, but peptides is one of their specialties now and I'm thinking of biting the bullet, especially now that remaining a patient of theirs is going to involve an annual fee - may as well take advantage of it if I'm going to have to pay regardless.
Scratch that last part: I just found that it can be purchased w/o a prescription, so I'll spend some time ferreting out a (hopefully) reliable source.
Ironically enough my 2 peptides articles, not a deep dive, just a overall analysis on what and why it is helpful cover those.
Tendon injuries -> BPC157, TB 500
Lung Issues - GHK-Cu (TB and BPC help too)
Brain recovery -> BPC157, TB 500, cerebrolysin help brain recovery, so does my brain stack (paired with the peptides you can even GAIN things).
My girlfriend introduced me to Selank, she spent a long time searching for specific peptides to help me, and it is quite amazing. Pair it with Semax for insane brain recovery and gains.
So sorry for your mishap! Been there, done that - both wrists simultaneously. Bones weren't painful but soft tissue is - and takes much longer than we want to heal! Sitting around incapable of doing anything is how I found you, so all is good :) I used red light and DMSO, but castor oil with magnesium oil felt better. I'm sure your local herbalist has some good recommendations. I would say, don't push through the pain - listen to your body. Do your stretches but use a brace or wrap, especially when typing. Your historical MO of ignoring it is what you do when you're a young buck ;) Aging bodies like to be pampered and coaxed.
Conserve your strength... but I'll be looking forward to another article with your take on world chaos and our crazy future.
I’m so sorry about your aunt and your injury. Prayers for quick healing!
On a different subject, was it you who wrote how to get rid of the toxic effects of chemo? A friend is going through a horrible series of chemo in an effort to cure her from a returned breast cancer, and her liver is being affected. They told her if the numbers get worse they will have to stop chemo. If you did give that info, would you please direct me to which post?
I think I have mildly covered the toxic effects of chemo because it had overlap with some other topic, but I am having SEVERE internet problems today, I will try to look and get back to you tomorrow.
Liver being affected is "simple" to solve. She needs magnesium, selenium, Quercetin or Fisetin, and of course the best combination NAC+Glycine, which are great for liver health. There will be an overlap between my Covid supplementation suggestion and fighting off chemo effects.
I appreciate it. Mobility and all else is much better now, I just need to work through the pain literally.
Methotrexate, like other drugs, anything that targets inflammation, can help the body function properly and leave enough resources for the degradation pathways to remove the Spike Protein.
Besides higher dosage of selenium, copper, and zinc for a few weeks (so the body produces more of all the -ases we need to degrade proteins), Stabilized Sulforaphane, fisetein and Lumbro/Serra will do it too. These last 3 are much safer, longer term, but also more expensive.
I am watching someone I love age right in front of me. I lost count of the number of shots he has taken. Naturally, it might have occurred anyway and he won't take any of the recommended remedies. These things are hidden in complexity. And mystery, especially for me.
Thank you for your work, in difficult circumstances. I hope your wrist will heal soon.
When coming from ME/CFS, after EBV+CMV, where monocytes and also T-cells are already dysregulated and exhausted, the problem you’re describing gets even more evident.
Are there any viable solutions to all this malfunctioning of the immune system?
Yes there are viable solutions, the "problem" in a sense is carefully addressing the causes, per the last paper, almost every Long Covid person is unique, so you need to throurough assessement of the immune system and potential causes, not just Herpes viruses, but algo fungal and bacterial infections and especially their toxins.
After addressing the continuous trigger (in my experience, there is always a secondary trigger that induces the persistent dysfunction over time), you target it.
Boosting the immune system with either supplements or peptides (faster acting) can help the person tilt the line into recovery (many people are stuck between recovery-decline-recovery-decline loop, I was too, for other reasons).
If you case is one related to EBV and CMV (it is rare to have both), your first goal is boosting the ever-living hell of Vitamin D, and I mean, an absurd amount. 10.000 IU at first, but I have had people going as far as 50.000 IU, almost daily, for weeks.
Going high dosage Serrapeptase will help, Choline or Alpha GPC also help a lot.
The goal is using immune boosting nutrients (Vitamin D, you NEED methylated/activated Vitamin B, all of them) and limiting inflammation, this last one is using whatever you feel works better for you. Feel free to ask anything Cristina.
Thank you for all of this. About vitamin D, I did supplement with 10.000IU for months, till my labs showed levels over 120. Now, I sunbathe for an hour daily (no sunscreen) and wait for the winter, to start supplementing again.
B complex I had to choose a non-methylated form, because methylated B vitamins, apart from B12, make me extremely nauseous.
About the other supplements, I’ll give them a try and let you know how it goes. 🤗
Serrapeptase I did take for months too. I guess I could give it another try. Choline is a problem, since I’m allergic to eggs and it also makes me nauseous. I tolerate phosphorilated serine, though, and take it every night.
Thank you. Voice to text could help but my accent gets in the way, the wrist and hand is much better with mobility, and everything, just gotta work through the pain.
Well, Moriarty, not so sure about that. I am un jabbed and do believe I had some sort of respiratory illness/infection about 3 years ago. No fever, no down time, just 5-7 days of hacking, sniffles and coughing up phlem. 3 years later, I still hack up the phlem, light green and mostly in the morning, usually one big one followed by 2-4 lighter loads. It is almost daily since that episode 3 years back. I am easily winded now and living in a 2 story home I half to rest after coming upstairs for a couple of minutes before talking. Heart rate good, BP of a 30 year old 128/65. I am 73 and still do 25 pushups daily. Do not know if you are a med professional but your articles are read by me always and they are starting to point toward my issues. Been considering Ivermectin, in communication with Dr Haider regularly. Your thoughts would be very welcome and will not hold you to anything other than info. Thanks, Jeff
Sorry for the delayed response, in the process of replying to everyone who comented, I lost my internet for most of yesterday.
I am not a medical professional by training, went to med school a million years ago and decide to quit and went to war (literally, the Middle East), but the curiosity and eagerness to learn remained.
Not sure about what exactly LtJ ? I think I am very alone when I am one of the few who harp on the fact that the virus is very harmful (the vaccine acts faster, yes, it is horrible, but the virus is not harmless). 3 years ago means you got infected with one of the more aggressive ones.
Even if you got "just the sniffles" the current Omicron variants, and any variant from Wuhan Original to Delta were able to impact the lungs WITHOUT getting into the lungs, via systemic inflammation.
Ivermectin, for the most part, acts as a powerful anti-inflammatory, so it can help, many people early on with lasting lung problems experienced significant improvement by using Serrapeptase, enteric-coated, yes it must be Serrapeptase not Nattokinase, Serra is systemic, it goes everywhere.
NAC must be paired with Glycine, and given your age, you can go higher, given that older people have less of every amino acid, mineral and vitamins, you can simply go higher on every recommended or suggested supplement. A higher dosage of NAC paired with Glycine should help with the lung issues because NAC is a potent mucolytic (dissolves mucus/phelm).
Selenium, together with magnesium, may be what you are lacking, selenium is a critical one, especially at older age, without selenium your body will simply not use NAC, as an example.
Adding Choline could theoretically, indirectly help too.
Depending on availability, BPC-157, TB500 and the peptide GHK-Cu is especially potent for lung issues.
I would highly advise you to add 2.000 IU of Vitamin D + 100 mcg of K2 per day, perhaps higher if you don't get enough sun exposure.
I hope this helps. Start with Vitamin D if you are not supplementing and go from there, from the simplest to the more complex.
looks like you turned from a soldier to a pretty good health advocate.. SInce it was million of years ago when you went to med school, it means you won't be drafted for the current wars, luckily. Also, general medicine kills, and so the military... A solution? Become a gardener with few chickens around, for the choline delivery;))
BPC-157, TB500 and the peptide GHK-Cu is especially potent for lung issues.
Also note that I am in the sun daily, NAC, K2, D3 Daily....need to look at the Selenium, Magnesium, Glycine and Choline in the supplements I do take daily
Thank so much for the info, glad to her you have made it over a million years and still able to type, as the typewriters back then were a bit harder to use...LOL
My prayers for you and all here, and extra for you to get better.
having energy problems too... so found out that magnesium+VitC (together..) deficiency is one cause, B complexes the other, and single amino acids, which contain that missing, aromatic residues, like tryptophan, Moriarty is writing about.
No energy issues, just breathing, have started on a breathing trainer used by athletes and after 4 days is showing signs of improvement, takes at least 2 weeks for significant results, manufacturer says. Also, 3-4K mg Vit C daily, along with Nattokinase, NAC, B Complex, NAD+, Quercetin, Nitric Oxide, High Power Multi Green smoothy, and many more. Going to do a parasite cleanse in the next week. Magnesium in the green drink, but might look at more, Thanks for the reply
in 2021 when I got 'covid' it was more a stroke than anything connected with lungs/breathing. The possible reason was that immediately when noticing a sickness Browstein's protocol of inhaling a mix of H2O2 (low concentration), and few essential oils, like eucalyptus, pine needle. etc. rescued me.. Ir is good to add iodine, according to some. Also adding daily peppermint and eucalyptus oil (just 1-2 drops) to drinks improves the entire airpathway a lot. Just my own experiences...
Good info, thank you, as God has Created us all differently, we all have different requirements for our health. I have found over the years that what supplements work for one, some of those may not be beneficial for another.
I have Pine Needle Tea from UK, great stuff and have many bottles of H202 for first aid and would look into the Brownstein protocol, Thanks
I’m currently researching Serrapeptase for a friend. This is one supplement JP has recommended repeatedly. The Serra Natto combo gave me new lungs. I initially did an extremely high dose of Serra (because I’m more is better) but I don’t think that’s necessary.
As I take the Natto twice daily, and just did a quick research on the Serrapeptase, this is a digestive helper but more important, mucus reducer and inflammation fighter, good call, Thanks
It can also discover scar tissue so I believe it can theoretically help prevent fibrosis. It doesn’t have the same effect as Natto or Lumbo on breaking down Fibrin but it is the only one that is systemic and can dissolve scar tissue. It’s what the silkworm uses to very quickly dissolve its chrysalis when emerging as a moth so it has to be powerful to work quickly enougj to prevent it getting eaten by birds. Magic stuff!
I have read many articles that CV jacks up some peoples lungs. Told Dr Haider about my issues and he prescribed some weird meds, have not taken them as when I researched them they were for something completely different, but then again, look at the results from Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine
All roads lead to Kynurenine (again!). I don’t believe anything is the answer but I believe this is as close as there is, at least for a majority of people’s chronic problems. How I wish they could do a comparison of the same data as in the paper but with a subset who had taken massive amounts of Niacinamide or Niacin. And it needs to be for weeks to months not just while testing positive.
I will correct anything tomorrow. The goal is to go back into my normal schedule, unless a global war pops off.
I am now the it's all so tiresome gif personified.
I hope all my readers are having an easier time than me. Lmao

Very sorry to hear about your aunt. Hugs to you and your mama. Praying for you.

And the wrist. Yeah. My RA exacerbations of the wrist are no fun. Can commiserate.
Thanks for the great article though. I am hoping my continued use of methotrexate gets rid of any left over spike protein or virus lol. Who knows?

I need to print this out for my nice but clueless GP.
I am watching someone I love age right in front of me. I lost count of the number of shots he has taken. Naturally, it might have occurred anyway and he won't take any of the recommended remedies. These things are hidden in complexity. And mystery, especially for me.
I have observed the same, and they acted the same, within my family, former friends, you name it.
Human behavior at its finest.
I'm sorry to learn of your aunt. May she find peace.
I continue to enjoy your work, even if I have to read it over and over again...you are a treasure.

Hope you feel better soon!
And I just started taking Serrapeptase 2 days ago
I have read many articles that CV jacks up some peoples lungs. Told Dr Haider about my issues and he prescribed some weird meds, have not taken them as when I researched them they were for something completely different, but then again, look at the results from Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine
Have you considered

All roads lead to Kynurenine (again!). I don’t believe anything is the answer but I believe this is as close as there is, at least for a majority of people’s chronic problems. How I wish they could do a comparison of the same data as in the paper but with a subset who had taken massive amounts of Niacinamide or Niacin. And it needs to be for weeks to months not just while testing positive.
