Professor - Excellent work. Terpenes are your friend, but being a purveyor of darkness, there is a potential downside... in a diabetic, +ketone body acetoacetate = + oxygen radicals = + endothelial lipid peroxidation = potential + vascular disease. As with all things equilibrium is essential and elementary.
While caution Is advised when drastically changing your diet if you diabetic, most Type 2 thrive on keto diet after a while, and often they will correct their aberrant metabolic response to insulin.
Indeed I agree with your last statement, that is why I am a big proponent of carb cycling. Once a week, or once every 10 days, stuff your ass with all the carbs 😆
after 65 years of eating grains, keto was not for me. I tried it for a few weeks after reading Novak Djokivic's book, but felt poor the whole time. Seems like my body cannot do without bread, noodles and potatoes. I did start baking my bread with mostly rye and oats instead of all wheat. Also eating more fruit than I used to.
I wish everyone a great Sunday.

Takes 4 to 6 weeks to adapt to it, supplementing electrolytes (especially more salt) definitely helps with the adaptation.
Otherwise you can just lower the amount of carbs and take BHB as a supplement. Might not be in deep ketosis, but get many benefits. Win-win =D
Fermented foods too ..
Another excellent read is Candida the silent killer Rupert Beebe
Ok, I just replied to your comment through gmail and attached the pic! I hope it works 😀
