I have checked multiple times, maybe it is the length of the post or a bug (common lately with Substack email delivery) but the e-mail formating is all wrong in some parts. I am aware of it but nothing I can do about that. It is normal here in the site, so I guess there is that.

Well, my sister is an "everything will be fine" and I'm an "its the end of the world" type. Hard not to be a catastophizer when your Mom was :-). Thank you for the information. Trying hard not to let your excellent words not make me go overboard, but I did just buy a generator for the fridge.

The truth is usually in the middle, I highly doubt, given the current degree of incompetence of government and elites, I doubt it will be fine, but I doubt it is the end of the world.

We are in for some rough, harder times than usual. That is how I see, but there is a lot of opportunity for long lasting change too, that is why it doesn't get me so bad.

Well, you did good buying a generator =D. I won't deny that.

We are ruled by the insane.

It is hard to argue anything else...

Maybe I should say those who voted these monsters into office are the insane. Either way we are heading into a collapse of our own making as our leaders are now looking to making war to distract. It's beyond comprehension how a small group of individuals can essentially destroy economies, our way of life, and we have no say in the matter. We are being asked to transition into an infrastructure that does not exist. The resulting chaos will get our minds off of those who caused it and be directed toward just trying to survive while they live their lives as usual.

In my experience, their potency is way overrated. For example you can join up to some of the WEF mail outs. If you want a laugh.

I somewhat agree with you on the level of their reach, but they do influence at some level where the entire society goes, otherwise we wouldn't be in this mess.

But I do find most of what the WEF publish laughable.

But the problem is, pointy headed intellectuals are stupid, because they cannot see the forest for the trees. They are dangerous tho, because THEY believe in it. And stupidness coupled with BELIEFs always leads to AUTO DA FE...And I am sorry but my "rich psycological life" should I survive, doesn't include sitting around all day arguing about how many angels can dance on the head of a pin.

Great article. The green crowd and idiots in govt and media have no idea how our economy is built on fossil fuels. They have zero critical thinking skills and zero common sense. Using electric cars, wind and solar isn’t going to fix our problems and is just stupid.

"I have made the argument many times that a sect within the European Union elite is hellbent on collapsing the entire continent either for unknown reasons to us or to virtue signal."

There is one guy running around substack saying it's because "peak oil was 20 years ago". I.e. cull the majority who are "unnecessary" anyway in the "4th industrial revolution", so the "elites" can continue to live luxuriously for a long time. (he attributes noble motives to it, preventing greater suffering, but since they seem to have been working on this for some decades, while excesses have been going on - to their benefit, I'm kinda not inclined to that assessment of motive)

I completely disagree with the level of his assessments, I know who you are referring too. That is a elite meme (as genes of culture) as old as mankind itself (at least as old as the Roman Empire).

It is just greed and some esoteric (insane) beliefs.

Even Chris Martenson though believes in peak oil. And he is not stupid. We can't all go back to the land and farm...I wonder if we can occupy buildings and grow things in an abandoned factory, but that requires fossil fuel input. Like electricity.

Peak oil has been declared roughly 5 times. We are not at peak oil, this is merely governmental stupidity and elites meddling in the oil market, drying up investments necessary for production.

If necessary investments were made we could have cheap energy for everyone in less than a decade.

I keep thinking that while we may be peak oil, there is enough to keep us going at least another 400 years.until someone invents another form of energy .. Why are they not buying time? NOT WIND OR SOLAR...tsah All that does is shoevel our taxpayer dollar into the SOLAR company executives and then we have to pay to clean up the mess.

. The question is, why WRECK your ECONOMY and KILL /Starve YOUR PEOPLE ? It is beyond government stupidity (no one is that stupid) The only conclusion is that it IS DELIBERATE. It is time to accept the fact that our government wants us dead. There is no other conclusion. And they want the US and its constitution DEAD. The government we have now, and all its bureaucracies, are all doing the bidding of some fine Italian hand, and the progressives are just useful idiots to whomever is killing us.

-peak oil real or they believe it's real

-AI/robots taking away jobs no need for so many people

-global warming is real or they believe it's real

-microplastic pollution in water (this is my most considered point)

-singularity in health care

Some points which could trigger the elite to reduce population (or it's a mix/combination)

The culling is never in-house. It's always someone else.

Yeah that’s BS because they could try switching to nuclear before deciding to kill us ‘useless eaters’ off
