Report on the Clandestine Californian biolab

My intention today was to publish an article centered on what I call “Covid brain”, likely others now call it that too, but the following update is more easily digestible, more pertinent, and more fun…to me at least. This update was sent by the same friend referred to in the article below.

Illegal medical lab discovered in California

To recapitulate, months ago, by mere and literal chance of seeing a hose that wasn’t supposed to be going out of a warehouse, a California resident found a hidden illegal laboratory. At the time it was described as a “medical” lab, but it is now clear as day it was a black lab, an unregulated laboratory conducting unsupervised biological experiments, with no governmental oversight.

I would advise the intrepid reader to hold your emotions and not develop an ulcer while reading the document. The first glaring issue was the CDC's gross inability to provide any reliable help to the local authorities, who lacked the necessary know-how to handle this case.

A point raised by government representatives that I voiced while reading was “So to avoid being detected while developing a bioweapon, you just need to avoid labeling vials and freezes ?”. Because that is exactly what the people sent by the CDC did, whatever was not precisely labeled was not tested, and was “ignored”. Including a whole freezer labeled EBOLA, but with its samples without labels.

“City Manager Nicole Zieba expressed shock at this fact. She asked whether, if that were the case, the CDC had any authority to stop a terrorist in the United States who simply removed the label off a vial of a deadly virus. The CDC official said that the CDC had no authority to test the deadly virus in that hypothetical and that it was a noted gap in its authority.”

We truly live in Clown World… but I digress.

In a curious turn of events and proper investigative work, we are now presented with significant information. Zhu not only had ties with China, but he was a big player in their Civil-Military Fusion efforts, one of the core strategies in blurring the lines between civilian and military enterprises, projects, and clandestine operations. Unrestricted (Hybrid) Warfare by the PLA.

Zhu is considered a fugitive in Canada for stealing American Intellectual Property (genetic tech related to cattle breeding) and is subject to a judgment of 300 Million dollars (330 million CAD). Getting caught was the reason he illegally crossed the border into US territory, and allegedly brought with him samples of an unknown quantity of pathogens.

The web of connections between Zhu and the PRC, and its military arm can be visualized below, Zhu created and ran a very sophisticated transatlantic operation.

A part of me is glad to say the authors of this report raised the same concern I did months ago, and before multiple times, to the discontent and disagreement of “experts”, even the ones I respect. Their argument has always been “It is too hard to do research, too hard to acquire pathogens, too hard to X”. Expensive ? Absolutely. Hardship is a matter of perspective, and failure is lack of imagination.

Not only does nobody know how many of these black labs are running at any given time, but nobody has an idea how he acquired all of his pathogens, regardless of risk level. Not only Ebola is a bioweapon made, and no, I don’t think this laboratory was engaging in bioweapons research, but a lot of risk research that bridges gaps in knowledge to the development of advanced pathogens must be done in such places. After all the man, the myth, the legend himself, Ralph Baric said as much last year.

“When you researching dangerous pathogens, at some point it becomes so dangerous that you don’t want it in your own backyard, so you find somewhere else do to it.”

The report also raises the point of how easy it is for anyone to acquire almost any pathogen if they are not select agents (pathogens that can cause mass casualty events, or be used to develop biological weapons). There is no oversight of privately funded research, including potential pandemic pathogens if they are not among these agents too.

Add to this the egregious, bureaucratic behavior of the CDC. How can an agency with “Disease” on its name opt to not test everything inside a clandestine bio lab, with potential pathogens and serious (lack of) safety conditions ? Cross contamination and serially passaging multiple pathogens in a group of animals is the literal receipt of either disaster or creating novel pathogens. And the very definition of gain of function. “It didn’t have labels bro” is at the same level of competency and foresight as “My mRNA vats are super clean and the process is impeccable bro”.

I will reiterate again that the Chinese Communist Party is either aware or more informed than its peers on the potential long-term effects of SARS-CoV-2, the list of pathogens in the lab, and the very expensive genetically engineered mice points to that, a point I brought up in June. Either this or in a far-stretched analysis bordering on conspiratorial, someone in the PLA is developing another Stealth Pathogen (SP).

There is only so much vigilantism and advanced algorithmic forecasting can do to deal with black labs, so the best time for Western governments to act was 2020, the second best time is right now. With the advent of generative AI and advanced diffusion models, the data generated by these labs can be structured and used, for good or bad. And now every bad actor on the planet is aware that you can potentially smuggle any biological sample or pathogen in or out of the country if you just…remove the label.

And since the tone is already conspiratorial here, let me indulge in some open conspiracy.

China Shaken by String of Cancer Cases Tied to Top Oncology Lab

Back-to-back diagnoses sparked a wave of speculation on Chinese social media and renewed scrutiny around lab safety

An unusual cluster of cancer cases among Chinese researchers affiliated with one of the country’s top oncology laboratories has attracted a wave of public attention, leading to new questions around lab safety. 

Two surgeons at Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hospital in the southern city of Guangzhou were diagnosed with cancer in June and October this year, the hospital said Wednesday. Both had previously worked in the hospital’s highly regarded breast-cancer research laboratory. 

A visiting scholar who worked at the lab until April of last year was also diagnosed with cancer at some point this year, the hospital said. 

Reports of back-to-back cancer diagnoses among researchers at the lab began to circulate on Chinese social media earlier this week. The hospital’s partial confirmation of those reports has fueled a wave of public interest, with many internet users questioning whether the cases were caused by carcinogenic substances being studied at the lab and whether other cancer diagnoses connected to the facility would emerge.

My mind is screaming “How many of them were vaccinated with the Chinese vaccine, which is much safer than mRNA, still has the potential to backfire and cause damage, and how many of them got infected by Covid, how many times ?” The Chinese net is filled with conspiracy talks about this event. Oddity will be the law of the land the next few years.
