Apparently it is merely internal politics from the company itself, to better position and leverage their cargos, and they have been trying for a while. But yes, in my opinion it could easily be strings by powerful entities.
What numbers are you looking at in terms of the mass migration from Africa and the ME to the EU over the next few years?
Do you think places like northern Europe, e.g. Nordic countries, Denmark, UK and the most northern bits of France should be able to avoid the bulk of the disruption?
Thanks you. Depends on how bad, and how much stripped for resources the world is, since other countries besides MENA will face energy, and specific types of food shortages. At the very least, a couple million if things get that bad.
Now for countries safer from this, depends on the politicians, and immigration/refugee policy. Rural areas in most places, anywhere in the planet, will be safer. The denser/richer the city, the more prone for cascade events and civil unrest it gets.
Love reading your substack but the black background is really hard on my eyes. The lighter white font used in portions of your article make the text even harder to read than the black background does! Sorry I'm unable to read this !
Can't you chose the background on your end ? I actually don't know, I will fiddle around later today, see if I find a middle ground. White backgrounds burn my eyes.
IDK. I'm afraid to do this and then have it apply elsewhere. I agree that white can hurt the eyes too so don't know what the answer is. Definitely the lighter white font you're using with your preferred black background isn't that legible.
Thank you for trying. It's quite sunny in my room at the moment so I can't really see the full effect of your change. It doesn't seem to bother my eyes as much as the black one did.
Couldn't be that Union Pacific is being threatened by DoT or DoA or somebody more powerful.

Thanks for the rundown, and the motivation to finish stocking up and growing our own food this spring.

Changed the color tell me how it goes. Feels neutral. 🤔
