This is but a mere “update” on a developing trend we have been keeping an eye on, and I have a keen interest from multiple perspectives. My heart goes to the people from Sri Lanka and I wish better times come as fast as possible, but this is a lesson in cascade dynamics and much more. Threads were I covered this matter before.
"We Have Run Out Of Petrol": Lanka PM In Address To Nation Amid Crisis
"We have run out of petrol... At the moment, we only have petrol stocks for a single day," Ranil Wickremesinghe said, warning his bankrupt country could face more hardships in the coming months.
I will once again repeat myself, watch the dynamics at play in Sri Lanka, they will play elsewhere, and there will be a massive mainstream media effort to memory hole this by orders of many governments. I have once or twice mentioned this, but memes (as genes of culture) are like viruses of the mind.
And the virus of revolt under hard times is the most virulent of all, infecting all but the rich. This moment is important because this will repeat itself in many countries, first in the most at risk, but I would expect even wealthier countries to experience levels of this.
The Summer in the Nothern Hemisphere will be interesting to behold.
Thank you for keeping these unfolding social dynamics on our radar. 👍🏼
Hi John,
Monitor Pakistan closely, its next.
The country is bust and even the Chinese refuse to bail out the government.
Sri Lanka will look like a kindergarten conpared to the unrest coming.
